Microsoft Teams is a cloud-based collaboration app that helps your team stay organized and have conversations—all in one place. It features business messaging, calling, video meetings and file sharing. Teams allows communities, groups, or teams to join through a specific URL or invitation sent by a team administrator or owner. It effectively enables local and remote workers to easily collaborate on content in real time across a variety of different devices, including laptops and mobile devices.
Channels – Within each team, users can create different channels to conveniently organize communications by topic. Each channel can include a couple of users or up to thousands of users.
Virtual Meetings – Users can schedule voice and video meetings — a workflow that provides contextual communications. Users can also share and edit files in meetings and communication threads.
Guest Access – Allows users to invite people from outside the organization to join internal channels for messaging, meetings and file sharing and facilitates business-to-business project management.
VOIP Calls – Users can make voice over IP calls within the organization. Team members can make, receive and transfer calls to and from landlines and mobile phones.
