Chris Alexander has been a Project Engineer for All Mountain Technologies since October of 2021. We sat down to learn a little more about why he loves helping businesses manage their technology.
Where Did you Grow Up?
“I grew up in Oklahoma City and moved to the Vail valley in 1994 where I fell in love with the lifestyle. I have been living in the vibrant, colorful town of Minturn, for the last 15 years.”
What School did you Attend?
“I attended the Engineering School of the University of Oklahoma and graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. I am also a certified (CCNA) Microsoft Engineer and Cisco Analysist.”
How Did You First Become Interested In Technology?
“My first “real job” was with the Park Hyatt Resort as one of their first IT technicians back in 1997. It was so exciting, as my position and the industry as a whole was evolving so quickly.”
Why Do You Still Love Technology?
“I believe that technology has the power to save the planet, which might be needed in the next century.”
What is your Favorite Hobby?
“Is sitting on the beach a hobby? Because I want to do more of that! I also love fishing, kayaking and skiing.”
Are you Married?
“I am happily “unmarried” to the love of my life, Jena. She is a local certified land planner and lead singer for the band “Hard Scrabble”. She is amazing. Together, we live with Bootsie, our rescue dog, who spends lots of time in the AMT office!”
Describe a Unique Job You’ve Had?
“I was the personal IT technician for President Ford and Mrs. Ford. After passing Secret Security clearance, I would travel with the SS team to pack and unpack gear as they moved back and forth from Rancho Mirage to their home in Beaver Creek.”
What is the One Thing you Can’t Live Without?
“My hot tub!”
What’s a Favorite Memory?
“I LOVE music and for 10 weeks I was a guitar tech for Leo Nocentelli of the Meters. Through that experience, I met Ella Fitzgerald, Warren Haynes, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Michael Franti, Dave Schools and many others. It was the gig of a lifetime!”
What Else Should People Know About You?
“I am a guitarist/bassist in a local Jazz Trio and I love to jam.”
