Dean Chambers, Technology Director for Vail Mountain School (VMS), and All Mountain Technologies (AMT) were able to work together to get outdoor Access Points (APs) and improve wireless coverage for VMS educational facilities at no additional cost through a special promotion.
The outdoor AP’s cover the outside grounds, including the soccer field and school entrance thus ensuring more robust connectivity for students, teachers and parents while on the school campus.
Ruckus Networks, an AMT vendor partner, was offering a limited time promotion for outdoor AP’s to qualified educational facilities at no cost, so Pam Elliott, the service director at All Mountain Technologies, immediately thought of VMS. “We have a good partnership with VMS, and All Mountain Technologies is community-minded so putting the two together and taking advantage of this great Ruckus promotion was a no-brainer.”
The new AP’s will also help VMS navigate opening and operating this fall safely amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Dean Chambers explains that “VMS is planning on starting the school year with in-person learning for all students. While the school has made many inside modifications to comply with social distancing guidelines, the new outdoor access points will allow us to offer instruction in outdoor spaces as well. AMT has always been a great extra resource for our small I.T. department. Being able to procure the promotional Ruckus hardware for us was really helpful.”
AMT is happy it could increase the schools’ coverage and improve their IT infrastructure without increasing costs. Helping clients make resources go farther while ensuring the best IT value is just one of the ways AMT strives to stand out.
